Sam delivers workshops to primary and secondary schools, ‘Mindfulness Meditation through Art’.
She teaches individuals, groups or whole classes to find a quiet space in their mind, by using simple mediation. She takes the group on a journey, using their senses to inspire a watercolour piece which they each produce, to help them focus their mind, whenever they need.
Workshops last 2 hours and cost £220.
At present, Sam is working collaboratively with The Holy Brook School in Reading. They have commissioned 6 pieces to be displayed throughout the school, to bring a sense or peace, calm and wellbeing.
“Having commission pieces in this way demonstrates the value the staff place on their teaching environment, it shows how they much care about their school. This then passes onto the children, who begin to develop a sense of pride in their school and then in turn, to value themselves.”

Sam will work with each class, creating a bespoke picture just for them. Their input helps support and develop metacognitive skills, which increase their learning potential.
“We are extremely pleased with our commission pieces. Sam effortlessly manages to capture a sense of peace and wellbeing, which is having a calming effect on the whole school”
